one of my favorite colors to wear. it is less severe than black but still has the same elegance and sophistication. and what about that blue lipstick?!! supposedly it leaves a blackberry tint on your lips but i wonder if it is a gimmick, still very curious though...

I love mixing textures especially cozy knits with more structured pieces. This raw hem cropped sweatshirt is balanced by the clean lines of the leather skirt, clutch, and boots. Neutral, minimalist make-up and simple jewelry gives it an air of sophistication.

Just returned from a short trip to Storrs, CT with some new shop goodies! Had to make use of the free time I had there while the hubs was at his academic conference ;) so of course I scouted out local thrift stores (with 3 kiddos in tow too!). Some finds include a vintage Coach crossbody bag, red 50s holiday wool dress, classic plaid skirt, and 60s dresses. Follow the blog for the latest updates!

Polka dots can get a bad rap sometimes because of their playful demeanor which can come off as looking juvenile or silly. Paired with basic pieces that have a touch of luxe elevate the polka dots.

Local Finds

This is one of my favorite finds from vintage hunting. Interestingly enough, the fabric was printed in India but the garment was sold through the India Point Co. here in Providence, RI. I love when the vintage items I find are a remnant of the local area's history. The textile industry was big in southcoast area of New England (Madewell originated in New Bedford, MA!) and it is gratifying to see some of those items from their illustrious days survive.
